ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Head Coach is responsible for the Aquatic Centre Squads program and providing leadership and direction to the St Andrew’s Swim Club. Reporting to the Head of Business Services, the Head Coach will lead, develop and implement all of the Centre’s squad programs.
The Head Coach will build and develop the High Performance and Competition, and Development Programs so that all squad participants have the opportunity to compete at their highest level; ensuring strong links and philosophical progression from Learn-to-Swim, into School Swimming and through to high performance swimming.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Tertiary qualifications relevant to the operation of an aquatic centre and swim coaching are highly desirable.
Hold a current Australian Swimming and Coaches Teaching Association coaching licence with a minimum standard of Silver level accreditation.
Current Swimming Pool Plant Operators and Maintenance Certificate, or ability to obtain the Certificate.
Current Senior First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
Microsoft Office (Excel / Word / Outlook)
Familiarity with timesheet and time in attendance processes
Working knowledge of Simply Swim an advantage.
Hold a current, valid Blue Card as required under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000
All prospective candidates (over 18) are required to undergo a check against the Anglican Church National Professional Standards Register.
